Pomegranate juice can cause adverse effects on several health conditions so consult your doctor before consuming pomegranate. Some of the possible side effects of pomegranate include:

- • Pomegranate juice may also interfere with enzymes in the body that is required to metabolize common medications.
- • Pomegranate can cause allergies in people with sensitive skin. People with plant allergies are at a greater risk of developing allergic reactions to pomegranate.
- • People suffering from asthma should avoid drinking pomegranate juice.
